Er...Ara plays Darkeden and Kaz plays Guild Wars...
so...Ara the legit 150 on Darkeden
and Kaz the Lv.20 most classes on Guild Wars....
What a dumb idea. I don't know how you can possibly compare the two.
Not to mention, most people haven't played with me in Guild Wars, which means most would have no idea.
Nice try though, I guess.
The only way this poll could be fair is if Tommi, Leftone, Trixie, and Chiyu get to vote two times, since they have been the only ones I have actively been involved with.
Second, what is honourable? Helping people out and working your ass off to become a respected member of the community? Well, I certainly have that down.
It's much different in the two games, so you can't compare them. Nice attempt at bringing someone down, but next time consider a more effective and legitimate way.
If you don't see the flaw in this idea, then I wont press it further and just classify you stupid.

I suppose however, that if you are posing the question of who is the better player in the traditional sense, it would have to be me, because I have mastered a game where skill is the key and level means nothing.
The only way you gain your respect in GW is through anticipating your opponents moves and using their actions against them. Level means nothing. Skill and strategy are everything.
In DE, you just click.
In other words, I could come from GW and easily play DE, but someone could not come from DE and easily play GW. Trix can tell you that.

well i guess what kaz said about coming from a game that reuires more than just click ing makes sense since i had a hard time adjusting to GTH. so i say that KAz is the better player. but its only because anyone can click to attack or move but i guess it depends on the game and the difficulty.

You need to be more specific by what you mean when you refer to a 'better player'. There are too many aspects to being a 'good player'.
I have no problem with you doing a poll like this, but you really did it completely wrong this time. You threw out a term that couldn't be more general and asked people to vote.

Also, as I aready said, almost all of you had started playing DE after I, and several of my friends, had stopped. I'm one of the old DE players with Tom, and so most of you have never even played with me. No DE players except Trix at least. The only ones who have played with me are those on GW, so the others are voting out of ignorance. They've never played with me.

Don't take it as criticism, just take it as...actually, yeah, take it as criticism. I was just looking for a definition of 'better player' so I'd know who to vote for on this poll.
Losing isn't even in my mind. As it is right now, I'm alraedy winning, because only one person who has played with both me and Ara has voted, and that vote was for me. There is no chance of me losing.

ill repeat. i didnt put in the limitations of the categories so that people can put in thier own opinion of the matter. some people have already address that you kaz is a better player because guild war is after all a harder game. but as i said. it is an open thread.
let them explain why they voted for thier respective choices so that people can view them as a whole. if youre gonna base something on limited paramaters. then that would be bias. because in some categories one will definitely be above the other. opening it will definitely give a more deeper understanding of both.

kaz i see your point but the fact that they may or may not have seen you play DE isnt our problem cuz your the one who quit playing so if i had to say who was better you or ara i would say neither you both suck but again i havent seen either of you play DE since i left about 6 months ago to play GTH. if i had to say who was the better player over all the ppl playing De on this forum i would say its kinda of a ie between GDR and XProwl since they keep playing their existing players and delete them when they max it out and transfer the items to the other characters they have.

Yeah, I'm not really sure if you played DE back when the veterans did. I feel like I remember you briefly though. Either way, DE is way in the past for me, although Trix and I have picked Thai back up for laughs.

that and the way the game is maed is weird like vampires can esily go to the waterways and attack you and somewhat the same with noob slayers. like on WoW when you create a tauren character you are on your own area untill you are strong enough to travel to another area to attack the other classes.

Lol, that was always my favourite part of the game. As a slayer, Eslanian outpost was always under seige, and it was hard as hell. No SH existed back then, so all was fair. It was really fucking fun. It died fast though. No one who was around back then will disagree.

Oh, you're one of the newer players then. I quit before SH was ever introduced. No one had SH when I quit. That will tell you how long ago it was.

I have no problem with Ara anymore. We had ONE argument over a misunderstanding and it was over. It is you who revived that conflict and made it into more. I'm sure he doesn't appreciate it any more than I do. It's a waste of words.

I would question the validity of this poll, simply due to its wording. If it is based upon the earlier conflict that Kaz and I had, then who play's their game better is completely irrelevant. If the purpose of this thread is to determine who is the most respected/trusted of us, the reputation statistic is supposed to provide that detail (which nobody seems to use, anyway.) If it is supposed to reflect the general forum's opinion on the earlier dispute, then that should have been clearly stated. As it stands however, this topic is pretty pointless, no matter what conclusions are drawn.
Either way, atm at least, both Kaz and I have the same number of votes in the poll and the same reputation, so I think that says enough.

No, I think you misinterpret what I said. I make it no secret that I don't especially like Kaz, but I can live with that. It's just that the statistics that this poll brings in, based on the poll question, are irrelevant. And once that is understood, no more really needs to be said on the matter. So I will discontinue.

I have recently had the unfortunate experience of meeting Kaz. I say this with all honesty...the boy is rude, and disrespectful. I am a level 150..pure (no speed hack or any other cheat) vampire in DarkEden...so I know the importance of playing a game the way it is supposed to be played and using no cheats. No only that...but I try to help other players who come into the game with free items and information....Trixie is my game sis on DarkEden, as I helped her when she first began..and we have been friends ever since. However, Even she was embarrassed and offended at the way Kaz treated me on our first meeting.....her own words to me were...if he cannot treat my freinds with respect...he is out of here. Also, later that day, I witnessed Kaz using speedhack....although he says he just logged on to see if it worked...he remained using it for a few hours. In my opinion...if you are against drugs...you dont try them out to see how they are.....I dont like the guy....he may or may not have legitimate characters...but he doesnt bring anything to the game but controversy and conflict. I feel that the gaming responsibility goes beyond the boundaries of the game character...it needs good character from its players.
