ok i have managed to fuck with the old patch enough now to get a load more stuff translated.

the slayer domains/experiance etc etc are all sorted here (tested)


simple enough unpack with winrar, chuck my files into the info folder in your game directory (its in the data folder) this will replace the chinky files.

OK thanks to the information from HexMania i quickly chucked a english NPCscript in there for the time being for the people who cry about it.

EnglishNpcInfo - Has an english npcscript (doesnt have all the npc options)
ChinkNPCInfo - Has chinky npcscripts (when talking to npc you will get all options but in chinese)

BOTH HAVE ITEM DESCRIPTIONS WORKING NOW ALSO (ie you can see what items are on the ground). good work HexMania :) this also means it should be easy to overide any patching in the future. :rolleyes:

easy enough.. same as before. but this time i have only rar'd the files needed to be replaced. also because im such a nice fucking person ive added the thailand npcscript here too for those of you who arent too bothered about losing some npc options but would rather extra english.

i have also included a patch for gunners, it is partial english patch and has NO item translations at all as the item.inf is for some reason effecting gunner skills.

so basically download the gunenr 1 is you dont wannt the gunner glitch, (its more updated than previous gunner patch still) but otherwise download the fullinfo patch.

simple enough unpack with winrar, delete the info folder in your game directory (its in the data folder) then put the 1 in the rar in there to replace it.

the differance to clarify for the idiots:

FullInfo.rar = item translations + gunner glitch
GunnerInfo = everything translated but the items are still chinese, no gunner glitch

IT was worse. Everytime somebody dropped a ring there would be ashotgun sound each and everytime. So if anyone ever tried there luck with the mysterious gift and couldn't be arsed to sell the items and drop 'em all i can hear is this annoying bastard shotgun sound all the time lol

You DO Lvl slower, because after EVERY trident hit it has to go back down that not only slows your lvling but you ablilty to kill to. If you dont belive me go make a gunner and try to lvl after 60.

But other then that the patch works great it was getting so annoying to see only CN letter's on the ground for drops lol

Even though server 2 seems to be unaccessible, choosing server 1 actually leads to server 2.

Conclusion: Server 1 is unaccessible while using either of these patches.

Btw the npc scripts have all been edited in fs after the new update.
it says load npcscipt and serverinfo thing when i load it at fs loader.

so it basically overwrites the eng patch npc scripts that r in english.
its now in chinese.

Hi. I'm very new here and have problems with english patch.
Many of U told that it can be done properly and U will C NPCs talk English, English options etc...but 1 of U, the last told that it is impossible coz loader/updater or whatever it is called rewrite the english patch with the original 1.
Now...I do know that it is possible to play patched english DE coz my friend has it working fine. The problem is that I am doing the same <all she is telling me to do> as she and I do have only english names of SOME items and skills. NO NPCs talk :/

It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't update the file(s) all the time but it makes it hell to write a proper english translation because of the updating. However, there is a way to bypass this. You have to construct your own update server which i've done. I've managed to bypass the updating process or even control the updates that my client would recieve.

Anyone can do this but i don't want it to be public information, atleast not by my finger tips.. (it would lead to people abusing this). I'd rather load up the dedicated server with all the fs up-to-date files, remove NPCScript from the list and allow people to gain legitimate updates but not overwrite important files needed for translation.

I'll do some more research.

i think what hes talking about is server emulation for the updater, meaning he runs a server on his pc and changes the updaters ip address to his own, meaning each time it tries to update the files it ends up just replacing them with the english versions over again.

ive done this method while bypassing GG on DE, so yea i can see it working but its a lot of effort over something so little, i bet theres a much easier way :)

and no i cant be bothered to find that way, im pretty much done for DE atm.

well for me too the patch isnt translating anything... the items have parentheses under them that say what they are and from experience from INT I can tell what most are but still it bugs me that all the NPC stuff is chinese...

Well first, English Patch.

Select all Files inside the English patch and copy them.
Now go into the Dark Eden FengShen File. Go into Data, And then Info, Then Paste the files. Click Yes to All, Now the English Patch Should be installed :rolleyes:

Ok, basically, this needs updating. With the new v2.0 patch the FileDef.inf messes everything up. It will make skill images change, ex. if I do Burning Sol then some kind of enlarged bloody tunnel comes on the ground (some said it should be the portal in the job change quest). Anyway, can someone check/upgrade this?

Ok from what i've tried, the ThailandEnglishNpcs.rar file seems to translate the options when you click the NPCs into english. Now the FsEnglishPatch.rar seems to translate weapon specs and other things into english but when you go to the NPC (the one that sells serums, bat wings, etc), theres this gun-like object in her invitory and when you scroll over to check it out, the game essentially crashes. So yeah...Hopefully someone modifies/fixes the FsEnglishPatch.rar so that problem won't occur.

I did job change today and after i got new looking i went to that dude with classes, i clicked on him and notting happend, did it again, same :S
Then i taught that maybe there's something wrong with my files (i haven't got thic patch on) and i copyed my gameguard folder back there, and i put orginal info folder back (i never change it after i DL this patch)..it din't work out, then i downloaded english patch because groovi could change his items with it. It worked. And i just got that "don't send" shit. I put orginal files back...then i got those skill-seeing-problems and i got that don't send even more...and then i took info folder from 1.85 because 2.0 one is missing, dno where :S and now i'm re-installing it...so FalenAngel, please make an english patch what really works without problems so people don't have to go trought all this shit what i had.

Well Minoque, or Ats, as I should call you. Was it Ats? It`s been long since International. Don`t really remember any names. But, I`m picking on him because he`s a dick. He likes to talk dirty in the Internet but when you talk eye to eye with him he starts sucking up to you. And also, he deleted my blader in International. With the resi set I had on it. And of course...it wouldn`t take hours to do that. When you use the dictionary for a while you soon won`t even need it anymore. Hint: I`ve been using it since I was 9 years old.;)
