Hmmm....where to start...?
Oh, first of all, I would like to say hi to all the new people joining this forum. I do hope you enjoy your stay and find GDR, Kaz, Shockz, Xprowl, Zim, CCC, and the rest of the gang ample entertainment. :p Secondly, I would like to say 'WHAT'S UP' to the veterans of this forum, as I haven't been able to do so in a while, which will be explained in the following paragraph:
Serpent, as well as I, got hit by Hurricane Katrina hard. We both live in Slidell, just outside New Orleans, and the eye of the storm rolled right over us. :( I'm glad Serpent is safe in Texas. :D :D I'm currently safe in the farm town of Cottonport, LA, in the central part of the state. (can you guess what crop we make here? :p ) Well, anyway, we have no Internet access where I live, and we're about to get telephone service; I am living with my grandparents and family in my grandma's childhood home, which my family left for several days before The Big One hit.
As for the damage done to our house, it's....not pretty. I can put pictures up later, but here's the gist of it: our house got flooded with 2 feet of water, most of our furniture is gone, all three cars in the garage have water damage to them (including my own 2000 Saturn SL1 :( ), the sun room STILL has 6 inches of water in it, everything's...a mess.
The good news? My dad's home insurance and flood insurance covers everything. :D Our house should be re-built in 3-6 months, and in the meantime I'll be going to college elsewhere, ATM trying to take classes online to make up for lost time.
Oh, and we should have Internet access in Cottonport shortly. Lastly (since mom needs to go :( ), a big WHAT'S UP to Serpent!!! Hope you're doing ok in Texas...talk to ya soon buddy. :)
