[DE JP] English Patch ~ SwiftHit

This is SwiftHits English patch, I don't know much of the origin, if its pwnage comes from a tutorial by people or if he just knew what was up and got on it.

But what I do know is when they add more items in DE JP, he patches it right up so they don't crash you, so as far as I'm concerned it's all rep to him.

I'll update it as he releases more, theres some typos he made, like it says dan instead of grade on some items and shit but it's good for what it is, he cleans it up often.

I'm sure you know the drill, this gets raped over the user/data folder.


This patch was created from the original files by SwiftHit.
The patch is designed for SLAYER USE since the vamp and ouster items don't show up, since he removed them.

actually he took all the ouster and vamp item names out so they don't show up when you mouse over or hold ctrl.

aa who need is english patch anyway i know this game batter in japanese.
and why you tell am to be enchater you need tham so what no one play with enchater cuz thar weak if you want to be slayer do blade and if you go on lvl 130 you see how much you well help tham.anyway if you want to be strong open a vampir slayer weak whan thay alone.

its depend on items lvl how you play sure some slayer suck but same thing go to vampir.

For some reason i can't get this patch working. Updater overrules it. I paste files as required when i the resolution-choice comes up. Game starts, i click connect, then it exits and start downloading files which i previously overwrote.
any suggestions?

Yeah, the last update got rid of all english patch's. Untill Swift makes another one, there are none.

I repeat it over and over (both ingame and here) - here is a guide for dumbasses who want to have important things in english, but dont want to wait for new patch:

1. get last swifthits english patch
2. copy files "Item" and "itemOption" into your darkeden info folder
3. if you want to see most of ousters' (and i suppose vamps') items on the ground, use "Item" file from the Ultimate english patch (use search button to find it) instead
4. i think you can get also NPC dialogues translated - in that case you should get file NPCScript (i believe, could be wrong) from either swifts patch or ultimate patch
5. in this way you can experiment with other translated files (if you add them one by one and see if game gets updated on start or not, you can figure out which file is responsible for overwriting of english patch files on start-up)

I guess everybody seen this. Looks like wasting of time to do this every time, when there is other way. The english patch you link is slightly different from the "ultimate" one - do you know whether its more up-to-date or not?

Compared to the "Ultimate" one (http://leetnetwork.com/showpost.php?p=106321&postcount=1); I would assume yes, as the "Ultimate" one (unfortunately) doesn't display the items' grades.

This patch dont work for me >.<, i replaced all the files in data/info and ALL the text is still in JP...any ideas?

did you do it like it said in the tut? copy the 4 files, and only paste them into your data folder once you get the little screen that says too choose your screen resolution for the game.

if you do it before that, it will just patch over them and replace them straight away. once it works the first time though, you wont have to do it again
