like the title says do you think the US should pull out of iraq? if so why?

i think we should pull out mainly because we shouldnt have gone in there in the first place. When we took saddam out of power we basically screwed iraq over...royally.

anyway thats my opinion.

Yes, US must pull out of Iraq.

I dont know why they are still having war with Iraq till now
and creating chaos every now and then.
They sent bombs by air, troops killing the civilians and much more.

That is WHY the 9/11 attacks happened because US did these kind of things.
If US were to pull out of Iraq, peace will come in.

Pulling out of iraq would be a bad idea if it's all done at once, it would cause the newly built democracy to break down and completly erase all work done in iraq. I agree we shouldn't have been there in the first place but I think we need a strategy change, not just more troops.

I agree completely. People should start considering what will happen if troops are pulled out right now - a total collapse of any government in Iraq. They should then consider what would happen if the newly installed Iraqi government collapsed. They should then go on to ponder the certain extremist groups that could easily pop up in a pursuit of power if such a collapse did take place. These groups could be worse than Saddam ever was.

well we could pull out and just leave a small group of soldiers and advisors.
Like before teh US got into the vietnamt war we had adivsors over there first to try to avoid the US getting involved military wise.

Yes, but not immediately. If we pull every soldier out right away it will cause great danger. Slowly within the next 1-2 years we should leave/

Troops settling in Iraq would cause the people there not to live in peace.

Just for future reference, Vietnam was not a war, it was "police action."

Moving along. Right, we shouldn't be there, Bush is just completing his father's work. Granted Sadam wasn't exactly Mother Therese over there, and he was in fact a dangerous dictator (so saying we screwed them by taking him out of power is just plain ridiculous.) But now that we are there, it's not like we can just walk away from it, we decided to be the world policeman one more time, now we put ourselves in a hole. So sadly, we can't just pull ourselves out, as much as I would love us to find a better solution then sending more troops, the current administration isn't that intellegent to manage to pull that off.

GDR was right, what has been built would shatter without us there now because Bush put us in that situation.

well there is a better way to do it like before going in an doing this talk to anti-saddam leaders and get a child(i think thats the right word) goverment created to where if saddam is taken out of power this newly creatd government can take control and then once peace or some semblance of peace comes then they do their elections to get a permenant leader.

but since we didnt now we have to stick by while they do this. oh yeah this is pretty much what we did during the bay of pigs during JFKs administration to take castro out of power only the invasion failed...miserably but that was mainly because they were waiting for the rebels and we didnt give em air support.

Well seeing how over half the population of Iraq feared and hated Sadam, it wasn't the wrong move. They agreed with us on that fact...but then they started hating us for staying. The continue to hate us for staying. Don't you remember them ripping down the statue of Sadam, that wasn't US troops, those were the people of Iraq.

They would respect a new goverment that we, as in the USA, did not insist upon trying to set-up completely. They don't see what we are doing as a good thing, even though we are the crutch it now needs because we put ourselves in that situation. They want a goverment free from outside control, but you know the mob, they want a utopia when it is not feasible.
