Creating a Webpage for a Mobile phone.

This is probably the wrong place to ask, not that I'm doubting anyones intellect, I just doubt the knowledge in the department of creating a web page designed for a cell/mobile phone.


So the question is,

How do you make a web page compatible with a mobile phone.

I'm attempting to set up a page so I can upload sound clips and download them with my phone, but since a phone needs to navigate by numbers, I'm assuming theres a certain way to go about coding it. I couldn't find much help on Google, so if anyone can direct me somewhere, or help me, it'd be great.

This would work the same on any PDA as well right?

It depends on the phone. Ther eare a few phones that are HTML capable, but for the most part we're still using good ol' WAP. I have a bit of knowledge with WAP, as long as you don't need something too fancy.

I'm honestly just wanting to make a page full of links to download music / ringtones. I want to make ringtones.leetnetwork.com so everyone on leetnetwork can get some pimp fucking tunes on their phone for free.

I'm not sure about how free we could make it. I think it depends on ISP's. I've only made a few WAP pages, never actually had anything downloadable. I suppose it's something we can look into. Anyways, if it isn't too fancy, just post / PM the specs to me (color, sections, etc) and we'll see what we can do.

Edit - I don't mean ISP's, I mean wireless service providers.

You just need Sumbian/Wi-Fi compatible phones in order to create a webpage.
