Family Guy is the best no doubt about it. Its better becuase it doesn't rely on using profanity and sexual remarks 24/7 to make the show funny.

But you gotta give South Park credit for the satire they use while staying completely serious about the topic.

Family Guy is funny but at times it just uses a bit immature homour...

Oh come now, South Park doesn't use immature humor like.....50% of the time?

People shitting on each other and what not? That's....not mature. :p

Still, I'll admit South Park has its funny moments but it's never been downright hilarious to me like Family Guy has been.

South Park - Cartoon wars
watch that episode and then that'll open your eyes to the lack of comedy behind Family Guy. I cant stand Family Guy so my votes with South Park

Well martin ur a n00b so stfu; lol. Family Guy's older seasons are probably one of the best comedy shows ever made, they beat the simpsons even. As for imaturity, most of the time its not. But i think the over riding factor as to why Family Guy beats South Park is becusae of STEWIE. He is the man or should i say baby.

lol i saw this and laughed.

i mean both are funny but south park is definatly more immature. they had one episode where they said "shit" as many times as they could.

however i vote Family Guy, maybe you just have to be smarter to understand all the comedy?

Are you stupid? The fact that it takes 3 days to make an episode of South Park makes them able to satire current events. They haven't relied on shock value since about season 4.

It takes them three days to make an episode becuase they are all the same with profanity etc.

it takes em 3 days to make an episode cuz they use paper cut outs not drawings. all they have to do is move them. the simpsons or family guy takes months sometimes to make.

Exactly me and speed agree Family Guy is better than South Park no question about it for the reasons we have posted earlier.

It doesn't take 3 days because they use "profanity". They're not even cutouts now, it's all done with computers. The point you're missing is South Park is actually a pretty intelligent satirization of current events. I guess you're too ignorant to pay attention to world issues.

PS - The swearing has gone down A LOT in the last few seasons, so quit trying to base a whole show on the few seasons.

i said family guy cuz i've watched a few seasons including some of the current season and i still think its funny but family guy is WAY better and funnier.

South Park is paper cut outs anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid, hell they even put in the opening song them cutting out Stan i think or maybe cartman in the newer seasons.

Latest South Park opening showing them cutting out stan (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p26AeCxHQTU)

About the animation style from Wikipedia, for all you douches:

The pilot episode, "Cartman Gets an Anal Probe", took three months to make and was produced using construction paper and traditional cut-out animation techniques. However the version that aired was different than the original version. Current episodes duplicate the original, amateurish look using modern computer animation tools — first PowerAnimator and then Maya, which Parker and Stone have described as "building a sandcastle with a bulldozer" on the VH1 special Inside South Park. This allows for a short production schedule that enables the creators to respond quickly to current events. For instance, the December 17, 2003 episode "It's Christmas in Canada" depicts the capture of Saddam Hussein a mere three days after his capture by U.S. forces, even referring to the "spider hole" where he was found. In the case of this and the Elián González episode ("Quintuplets 2000"), the creators stopped and changed production of an episode to focus on these events. Another example is the "Trapper Keeper" episode which originally aired just eight days after the 2000 U.S. presidential election and featured a kindergarten class president election being delayed by, among other things, an undecided girl named "Flora", an obvious reference to the undecided vote-count in the state of Florida.

In 2002, the episode "Free Hat" was aired. In this episode, prompted by Kyle's comment on Ted Koppel's Nightline that changing E.T. would be like changing Raiders of the Lost Ark, the South Park depictions of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg decide to alter the first Indiana Jones film. Soon after "Free Hat" aired, the real Lucas and Spielberg announced that they would not be altering Raiders of the Lost Ark for DVD release, contrary to rumors. Parker and Stone later claimed on Inside South Park that the episode prevented any alterations from happening.

Animation style

Construction paper cut-outs were used in the original pilot animation and in the first episode made for Comedy Central. Subsequent episodes have been produced by computer animation that provides the same look, although the appearance of the characters and scenes has become less crude over time largely in order to enhance the comedic effect. Special effects such as prepackaged explosions have replaced cardboard-style fires, and light shading has been used to highlight "sappy" or movie-like moments and Eric Cartman's propensity for striking dramatic poses. Some episodes also contain sections of live action as well, such as "Tweek vs. Craig" and "Cat Orgy".

CorelDRAW is used to create the characters, which are animated using Maya. The style of animation used for South Park was inspired by the paper cut-out cartoons made by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python's Flying Circus, of which Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been lifelong fans.[1] For perspective, the average episode of The Simpsons takes six to eight months to create[citation needed], while episodes of South Park are usually completed in six days (although some, such as AWESOM-O or Woodland Critter Christmas have taken only three or four).[2] This enables the show to keep up with current events, such as the capture of Saddam Hussein.

South Park is funnier in my Opinion.
I like the fact the kenny dies, and the way he dies, and the muffled noises he makes.
And the fact that Cartman cracks me up. Butters too, Theyre just so fucking stupid.

FG is better by far SP to me isnt all that interesting anymore i tried watching this season and stopped watching it cuz it was lame even for SP but FG just keeps on getting funny episodes.

and what does it matter how long it takes to put out a episode? just means they put more effort into a episode. in my opinion quality over quantity. thats why i chose FG.

The ammount of time it takes to make an episode doesn't mean it's going to have any more quality than another. Lets take 10 of you, and give you 10 months to make a video, lets take 1 Zim and give him 6 days to make a video, Zims would be a lot better than yours.

not really since we have different views. so his may be about current events in his country.
while mine might be about something else.

Look at monsters inc. it took them i think like a year to make it and then another year or so to release it.

Some cartoons are better when more time has been put into it but there are exceptions so someone may have a good cartoon in a short amount of time like SP.
