Age of Empires, Age of Kings.
Who has this, and loves to play it?
I wanna get back into playing it, but since there's no real client for it, Gamespy is used, and gamespy is a piece of shit.
Anyone who wants to hook up on I.P and play there, message me.

I'm just getting back into it lately actually. I have both AoE 2 and 3, though I enjoy 2 much much more.

I'm just getting back into it lately actually. I have both AoE 2 and 3, though I enjoy 2 much much more.
In my opinion, 2 is an Economy based game, getting your essentials before you can battle, i like booming with 6 tc's and like.. 100 farms:p
Aoe3 is a battle game its why everything costs less, and how the units come in pairs of 5.
I like the battle rankingz and shit too.

AoE2 certainly takes more time per game, though battle is a big part of the game too. Anybody can be good at hoarding resources, but a good player knows exactly how to spend them for offence and defence. As they say, the best defence is a good offence, so I usually put up a decent defence and go all out with distractions and then strike a final blow where they least expect it. Well, now you know my strategy if we ever do meet in battle, :p.

If we play on BF, your screwed mate.
I start by walling up all entrances, then when i adv. wall again, then i start getting stone, while making Militia.
I upgrade them, make a gate, and rush you like a bitch.
That was my main strat, rushing.
Once, i had a full Population of Scout Cavalry.
Upgraded fully, but still Scouts.
Rushed this clan leader, clan was "Ace"
I took out 3 castles, all his archers, and had enough left over for a run back to my base, then back again, just to taunt him.:cool:

This guy was seriously turtling before; he must've had 30 layers of fortified stone wall all around him. I figured that getting through that would take hours, so I spent more than an hour finding a forest behind his base, building a base there, unpacking about 10 trebs and blasting my way through a huge forest. With my full army waiting, I just rushed into the back of his base where I knew he would have hardly any defence. I was right, and he folded like a bitch. AoE2 rocks.

The best defense in that game, if your playing a DeathMatch, Post Imperial, i played Turtle Wars once, it was a thing MSN Gaming Zone had on the go.
So youd start by one layer of wall, layer of trebs, layer of wall, layer of towers, layer of wall, layer of trebs.
Like that, continously.
About 45 times.
I lost in the end, the retard didnt turtle, he spent his res. on an army.
He was foreign and didnt understand the concept.

i always proffered C&C Tiberian Sun though.
My friend and I were honestly the two best people in that game. We played all the top teams and absolutely destroyed them. I miss that game. I can't wait for The Tiberium Wars to come out.
I destroy at AoE 2, as well. RTS is my second favorite genre of games, second only to FPS.

i tried playing AoE but found it quite boring(tried AoE 2 & 3), but i'm also a die hard Starcraft/Broodwar fan also a C&C fan.

Naw, Age of Empires the Original Was the Best. Not many people Played, only like 200 at Msn Games Compared to 2000 in Age of Empires 2. The original Was fun though, I don't enjoy 2 & 3, Looks like Im gonna Have to Get 2 or 3 and Get use to it, Since Gamespy is the only Client now and No-one Plays the Original AoE at Gamespy.
Some dude is Holding a Tournament of AoE 3, It happened about a Week Ago. He did it through Hamachi. I wanna learn how to do that aswell So I can play Oldbies and Friends :)
Msn Games is Fucking Retarded for Pulling down CD-Rom. I havn't played Msn Games Since they Pulled down CD-Rom, its a peice of shit now.

Wow way to revive a what 10 month old thread? AOE was good, but hell I installed it again 3 days ago and was like.... I'm sorry this game kicked ass, it IS what got me hooked onto RTS games.... but sorry it is just too crappy now. AOE2 was awesome especially with the quene. Then seeing as how I never installed it on this PC when I did install it 3 days ago (I hadn't internet at the time and was bored... I mean CS bots get REALLY annoying) I FINALLY attained the uber 3rd resolution option! AOE3..... Nice game, I didn't like the campaign. I mean on a different game it would have been good, but I mean it is an AOE GAME!!! They should have made campaign like the other ones.
