Bongos is nice, but if your starting with mods that might not be the best mod for you to start off with.
It took me a while to get that sonofabitch set up.
Why dont you try cosmos?
It easy to use and install, and has a lot of mods for beginners to modding WoW.
Go to curse-gaming.com to search for mods you might like instead.
Or you can just go to cosmos and download it.

Spartan Mod FTW! Thanks to Mando. Here are a few screens. :)

Also, go to curse-gaming.com. Various mods have instructions to copy them over to the WoW folders (WTF and Interface)
I recommend the MazzleFizz layout- it's an entire compilation of AddOns- and it really cleans up your UI. I love it (even though I'm done playing WoW for a while) because it has a bunch of class-specific addons (I love StunWatch and EnergyTick for my Rogue and Call of Elements and ToteMaster for my Shaman) that let you customize absolutely everything in your UI and has a lot of very useful Automatic tools (AutoLoot, AutoMail, etc.).

Two best AddOn sites I've found thus far.
