Try the following:
1. Right click on the Shortcut
2. Select Properties
3. Under Shortcut >> Advanced, Check Run as Administrator, Select OK
4. Under Compatibility >> Compatibility mode, check Run this program in compatibility for: Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
5. Push OK and try running the program now.

i say screw vista. But try setting that compatibility to win 2000 . I know that fixed some issues some games had on win xp so it might work for vista?

No seriously, it really is that easy. You install XP then download your drivers, it's the same thing any "pro at customer service" would do, except you can do it for free.

Yeah I don't see how going to your system specs... writing down your hardware names and models... googling the XP version of the drivers... burn them onto a CD, reformat with XP and install the drivers.
3 hour job. Any fucking moron after reading what I just typed in a matter of 25 seconds can fucking do it.
No go do it, unless you're too lazy to lift a finger.

Click start, then right click on "My Computer", then click "Properties".
OR
Click start, then run, and type in "dxdiag".
OR
Open it up and look for labels.
